Job summary

Hines, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead a team of estimators and develop material quantity estimates for residential construction projects in Illinois and nearby markets.

The role involves blueprint review, cost monitoring, vendor comparison, and cross-functional coordination to maximize profitability while ensuring safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience in residential construction environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of multiple Estimators to ensure objectives are met.
• Communicate with internal leaders to ensure correct processes and identify improvements for profitability.
• Ensure proper resources by managing market output and pro-actively making a business case.
• Create take offs as requested.
• Compare vendor pricing for cost effectiveness.
• Create cost estimates for clients.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts.
• Review blueprints and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• Work safely and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
