Job summary

G B GROUP INC is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop cost estimates for construction, renovation, and preventative maintenance projects. You will review design documents, plans, and specifications to produce profitable estimates while safeguarding company profitability and coordinating with clients and field teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing materials and workmanship specs, developing labor and material costs, performing value engineering, and issuing clear RFIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze plans, specs, and codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and estimating software; strong math skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and refine cost estimates for construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance projects.
• Review design documents and specifications to ensure accurate pricing and profitability.
• Develop labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment cost projections and lead time planning.
• Prepare RFIs and clarifications to obtain accurate pricing while protecting project scope.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors/vendors and evaluate proposals for competitiveness.
• Maintain communication with homeowners, managers, and stakeholders; transfer info to field teams.
