Job summary

Top Dog Recruiting is seeking a General Operations Manager for our Richmond, VA area operations. The role oversees branch operations, sales and production, driving a high-velocity residential build program with a servant-leader management style.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of custom residential construction, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple homes simultaneously while cultivating vendor relationships and delivering strong results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of custom residential construction.
• Familiar with production building (multiple homes at one time).
• Servant-leader management style.
• From/familiar with the South Richmond VA area & knows local vendors/subs.
• Positive energy and strong leadership abilities that drive Production & Sales processes and grow the team.

Responsibilities

• Review new leads with Sales Team.
• Review advertising and approve budget.
• Provide weekly updates with Division President.
• Review sales pipeline, Starts, Warranty, Settlements, etc.
• Review projections and challenges with managers & Corporate leadership.
• Inspect jobs when necessary; conduct final reviews and plan reviews.
• Recruit/hire/train/mentor/supervise employees, subs and vendors.
• Engage in networking and negotiate contracts; hire subs and suppliers.
• Review overhead costs and general P&L; address customer concerns and resolutions.
