Job summary

Meritage Homes in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Construction Supervisor to manage homebuilding across all phases, ensuring quality and adherence to Meritage standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, schedule material deliveries, and conduct homeowner inspections.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with 4–10 years of supervisory construction experience, strong reading of blueprints, and excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Word/Excel is required; Hyphen a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in construction management preferred.
• 4–10 years construction supervision or project oversight experience.
• Reading blueprints to maintain quality control and inspect construction elements.
• Knowledge of homebuilding processes, building codes, ROC standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; Hyphen experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction through all phases to deliver a quality home.
• Schedule subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Ensure all codes and Meritage standards are met.
• Conduct home walk-throughs and inspections with homeowners.
• Enforce safety standards on all job sites.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and subdivisions.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, customers, and inspectors.
• Attend construction, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
