Job summary

Meritage Homes Corporation is seeking an experienced construction supervisor for our residential build teams in the United States. You will manage homes through all phases, schedule subcontractors, ensure compliance with codes and Meritage standards, and conduct homeowner walk-throughs.

The role requires reading blueprints, strong customer service, safety leadership, and collaboration with multiple departments and inspectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in construction management preferred.
• 4–10 years of construction experience with supervisory or project oversight.
• Advanced training in one or more trades within the residential building industry preferred.
• Knowledge of homebuilding systems, building codes, ROC standards.
• Able to read blueprints to inspect framing, stucco, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Hyphen is a plus.
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure delivery of a quality home.
• Schedule subcontractors and material delivery dates.
• Ensure all building codes and Meritage Home standards of quality are met.
• Conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Communicate safety standards and enforce safety regulations on sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.
• Interact with multiple departments, subcontractors, customers, and inspectors.
• Attend construction, monthly and quarterly meetings.
