Job summary

Meritage Homes Corporation is seeking a construction supervisor to manage homebuilding projects from start to finish in Jacksonville, FL. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure codes and quality standards are met, and conduct home walk-through inspections with customers.

The role requires strong reading of blueprints, safety leadership, and excellent communication, with experience in construction management and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree in Construction Management preferred.
• 4–10 years construction experience with supervisory or project oversight.
• Knowledge of homebuilding, ROC standards, and building codes.
• Able to read blueprints to inspect all construction aspects.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; Hyphen a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure delivery of a quality home.
• Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.
• Ensure building codes and Meritage quality standards are met.
• Conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Enforce safety regulations on all job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, customers, and inspectors.
• Attend construction, monthly and quarterly meetings.
