Job summary

AlphaX RE Capital is seeking a Project Cost Manager to oversee budgets, forecasting, and financial controls for residential construction and development projects. The role collaborates with project teams to monitor costs, manage variances, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple active projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in project cost management, construction accounting, project controls, or financial management within the construction or real estate development industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, forecasting, job costing, contract administration, and financial reporting.
• Experience analyzing project financial performance and preparing cost reports for multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience using ERP, project management, or construction accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Project Cost Planning & Budget Management: develop, maintain, and monitor budgets from preconstruction through completion.
• Cost Analysis & Financial Reporting: prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries.
• Contract & Change Order Management: review contracts and track changes to ensure budget alignment.
• Project Controls & Cross-Department Coordination: collaborate with PM, Construction, and Purchasing teams.
• Compliance & Continuous Improvement: ensure policies, controls, and audits are upheld.
