You’ll diagnose faults, repair equipment, commission new installs, document results, and leave customers confident in the work performed.Role ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, service, and repairs on residential HVAC equipment.Inspect ducting and ensure company tools and materials remain in serviceable condition.Identify system components, complete wiring, and conduct start-ups on full residential systems.Troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and complete repairs to restore proper function.Carry out start-up/commissioning tests and record results to verify system performance.Conduct full-system inspections and notify dispatch/customers of any unresolved concerns.Explain all services and repairs to dispatch and the customer in plain language.Coordinate your daily schedule directly with the office.Order required parts and stage materials so each service visit begins fully prepared.Transport and account for parts, materials, and tools for each job.Complete all required digital/paper documentation accurately and promptly.Debrief each visit with dispatch/customer, ensuring all documentation is submitted.Leave the work area cleaner than you found it.Keep your company vehicle clean and well organized.Follow company performance standards and code of ethics.Provide courteous service to every customer and collaborate respectfully with coworkers.Use protective floor savers over footwear in customer homes.Comply with all safety procedures and policies.Perform other duties as assigned.What You BringHigh school diploma or GED.1+ year of HVAC service experience.EPA Certification.Soldering and brazing proficiency.Clear English communication skills, written and verbal.Basic computer literacy; able to use a computer, laptop, or tablet.Comfort with internet navigation and email tools such as Microsoft Outlook.Valid driver’s license.Ability to work overtime with short notice; some weekends as required.Bonus PointsHVAC trade school certification.1–2 years of construction, HVAC, or related experience.Mindset & CollaborationCuriosity to learn and contribute to a team environment.Positive, can-do attitude.Strength in building relationships with internal and external customers.Ability to work effectively with team members at all organizational levels.Relevant work experience may substitute for education.Strong commitment to safety and a safety-first culture.Where You’ll WorkMostly at occupied residential homes and active construction sites; limited office time.Driving between job locations is required.Exposure to construction settings: operating equipment, elevated areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors.Indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) with proper PPE.Physical RequirementsOperate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift.Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently.Climb, bend at the waist, crawl, kneel, and crouch on a regular basis.Work at heights; use ladders and stairways; occasional work on platforms/scaffolds with correct fall protection.Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety-toe, construction-grade boots.Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds to safely operate phones and equipment.Maintain close, distance, and peripheral vision (natural or corrected) with normal depth perception.Speak clearly to convey information to others.Enter data into handheld devices or computers via standard keyboard or 10-key keypad.Reach overhead; signal, grasp, hold, lift, turn, push, and pull tools and objects with arms and hands.* Physical requirements may vary by location.Core ProficienciesHVACHeating and Air ConditioningEqual OpportunityAirtron is an equal opportunity employer.
