Job summary

Airtron seeks a Residential Climate Control Service Mechanic to diagnose and repair home HVAC systems, explain solutions clearly, and ensure lasting comfort for customers.

You will work with our Service Supervisor and Operations team to inspect, start up, document results, and coordinate with dispatch for smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year HVAC service experience.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Soldering/brazing skills.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication.
  • Basic computer skills; comfortable with a computer, laptop, or tablet.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work overtime on short notice; occasional weekends.
  • HVAC trade school certification (nice-to-have).
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction, HVAC, or related fields (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Inspect ductwork; keep company tools and materials in safe, working order.
  • Identify components, wire, commission, and start up complete systems; document start-up tests and outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues; recommend and complete repairs to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform comprehensive inspections and communicate any remaining concerns to dispatch/customers.
  • Explain completed work and recommendations in clear, customer-friendly terms.
  • Coordinate your daily schedule directly with the office.
  • Order parts ahead of appointments and arrive fully prepared.
  • Transport parts, materials, and tools; maintain accurate inventory and accountability.
  • Complete required paperwork/tablet entries neatly and promptly.
  • Debrief each service with dispatch and the customer, supported by documentation.
  • Leave job sites clean and orderly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle—inside and out.
  • Uphold company performance standards and code of ethics; be courteous and professional at all times.
  • Follow safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
