Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform residential carpentry, including doors, windows, drywall, and decking, while adhering to safety guidelines and documenting project activity. The role requires reading blueprints and providing clear notes for tenants and the Facility Director.

You will collaborate with maintenance staff, train teammates, and maintain high standards of customer service on occupied and vacant homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or similar.
• Relevant license or certification.
• A valid driver's license.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Carpenter.

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry related work orders in residential homes.
• Test, troubleshoot, and replace wooden components of the home to ensure systems function safely and efficiently.
• Finish and rough carpentry service and installs.
• Drywall install, repair, and finish work.
• Replace and/or repair various wooden components such as doors, windows, fencing, subfloors, decking, etc.
• Work with maintenance staff to train and educate other teammates.
• Document each project and provide written reports to the Facility Director and tenants.
