Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform a variety of repair and preventive tasks at residential units. Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting work, plus cleaning, inspections and making-ready vacant units.

Community safety and resident satisfaction are emphasized; prior maintenance experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license and ability to work evenings or weekends as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and training or experience in carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, refurbishing and cleaning, and air-conditioning.
• Trade School or Military training is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
• Light plumbing duties such as clearing stoppages and fittings replacement.
• Carpentry work including doors, shelves, floors, painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Assist custodial and grounds work in common areas.
• Respond to work orders and resident requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in move-in/move-out inspections and make-ready vacant units as directed.
