Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License is required.
• At least 1 year experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Autism experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
• AMAP certification is required.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals to ensure ongoing support and quality of life for residents.
• Assist with training of new staff to maintain adequate staffing and manage overtime.
• Maintain weekly staff schedules based on resident needs and staffing availability.
• Document time, attendance, performance and supervisor sessions to ensure proper records and supervision.
• Verify treatment plan documentation is completed daily for each resident.
• Assist with residents' bank accounts and review monthly statements for budget adherence.
• Arrange transportation for medical appointments and coordinate with agency vehicles.
• Communicate with physicians and pharmacies regarding residents' health status and needs.
• Coordinate with school programs via phone or meetings for service coordination.
• Supervise housekeeper duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Perform Direct Support Professional duties as needed.
• Handle any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
