Job summary

Brookville Center for Children’s Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional Supervisor to oversee DSPs, assist with training, and ensure high-quality care for residents. You will help manage schedules, document performance, and support residents in daily activities.

This role involves coordinating with physicians, pharmacies, schools, and transportation, while ensuring compliance with treatment plans and maintaining a safe living environment. Prior DSP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Qualified NYS Driver's License.
• One year of experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
• Experience with Autism preferred.
• AMAP certified.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager with supervising Direct Support Professionals to provide ongoing support and promote active participation in daily living activities.
• Assist with training of new employees to ensure adequate staffing and manage overtime.
• Maintain weekly staff schedules based on resident needs and availability.
• Observe and document staff time, attendance, performance deficiencies, and training needs for effective supervision.
• Verify documentation of treatment plans is current and complete daily.
• Assist with residents' bank accounts and review monthly statements for accuracy and budgeting.
• Coordinate transportation for medical appointments and ensure vehicle availability.
• Discuss medical status with physicians and pharmacies as needed.
• Communicate with a resident's school program to coordinate services.
• Supervise the housekeeper and assign tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Perform Direct Support Professional duties as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
