Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services in New York State is seeking a Residential Assistant Supervisor to oversee residential staff delivering daily therapeutic care and programming in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.

The role reports to the Residential Supervisor, works onsite, and requires supervisory experience, an associate degree (or higher) with relevant experience, and certification (TCI).

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree plus three years of experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR HS plus at least five years of experience.
• Related experience with vulnerable populations and older adolescent population is required.
• Must have supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to manage a residential unit.
• Required to maintain TCI certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program activity leading to goals in treatment plans.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff.
• Work shifts on the unit, possibly variable shifts.
• Serve as a role model for newer staff.
• Maintain records on the unit.
• Participate in staff training and development.
• Involve family members and ensure a respectful environment.
• Coordinate with clinicians and administrators on treatment plans.
