Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks a dependable Direct Care Staff in Springfield, MA. You will support developmentally disabled adults in a community-based group home, fostering independence and person-centered growth.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, administering medications (training provided), advocating for residents, and building supportive relationships to ensure a safe, respectful environment. 2nd shift preferred.

Qualifications

• MAP certification preferred.
• Experience with dementia or behavioral complexities encouraged.
• Background screening is required.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Administer medications as needed (training provided).
• Advocate for individuals in community settings.
• Build professional, supportive relationships with residents.
• Provide opportunities to improve independence.
