The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking Senior Direct Care Staff to work within our residential group homes in the Springfield, MA and surrounding towns of Western Mass. Our team of dedicated Senior Direct Care Staff stand out as star team members, working to ensure we are remaining true to CHD’s mission to provide a supportive residential environment for developmentally disabled adults living in a community‑based group home.
This is a full time opportunity: The shift is 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with scheduling options of Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday, depending on the specific needs of the program.
Candidates must hold active MAP certification to be considered for this role.
The Senior Direct Care Staff plays a crucial role in managing medication administration, appointment preparation, and scheduling adjustments during shifts, particularly from 3 pm to 11 pm. This role includes ensuring compliance with agency standards, fostering a clean and welcoming home environment, and engaging individuals in community activities. Working collaboratively with the agency’s team model, supporting client growth and independence, and ensuring safe, consistent care for those served. Excelling in the work that you do, by leading by example to help model the way for the entire team are key attributes to this important role. Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge will help you be successful in this role.
