Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is looking for a Residential Care Advisor to provide direct support and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness at our Munhall residential site. You may cook, clean, manage medications, and accompany residents to appointments while engaging with family and the treatment team.

This full-time, non-exempt role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and a strengths-based approach in a family-like community setting, with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/equivalency plus 1 year direct care experience.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and clearances (Act 33/34/73).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, medication management).
• Take residents to appointments and coordinate with family and treatment team.
• Design activities and crafts; foster a supportive, compassionate environment.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Pittsburgh Mercy is looking for a Residential Care Advisor to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Munhall location. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

ABOUT YOU: In any given day, you might cook, clean, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family and resident treatment team members, and design games and crafts.
