Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Residential Care Advisor to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness at our Munhall residential treatment site. We value someone who can lead a team with a strengths-based approach and maintain a calm, professional demeanour in stressful situations.

The role involves caregiving duties such as cooking, cleaning, medication management, appointment transportation, and engaging residents in activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 1 year direct care experience.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a residential treatment setting (Munhall).
• Develop and mentor a team using a strengths‑based approach.
• Perform daily care tasks: cooking, cleaning, med management, transporting residents to appointments.
• Engage residents with family and treatment team members; design games and crafts.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Pittsburgh Mercy is looking for a Residential Care Advisor to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Munhall location. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.
