Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking compassionate staff to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our Bethel Park residential treatment home.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a residential Bethel Park location.
• Mentor and develop a team using strengths-based approaches and positive practices.
• Work in a small 3-bed Mental Health Support Home in a neighborhood setting.
• Engage residents on-site and in the community to support well-being and social activities.
• Assist with daily tasks, including coordinating activities, transportation, and interacting with families.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• This position will provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Bethel Park location.

• We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

• This position will work in a small 3-bed Mental Health Support Home located in a neighborhood setting in Bethel Park., conveniently located across from South Park.

• While required daily tasks to ensure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community.

• Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the resident’s well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being.
