Job summary

CUI Telecommunications is seeking a Broadband Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential broadband services, including high-speed internet and cable TV. This hands-on role requires strong technical aptitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

You will work independently in the field with dispatch and operations, install equipment such as modems, routers, and set-top boxes, and ensure safety and quality on every visit.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet MVR/insurability requirements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug as applicable).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage appointments, and solve field problems.
• Dependable attendance and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Install, activate, maintain, and repair residential broadband services.
• Install and configure modems, routers, gateways, set-top boxes.
• Perform installations with coaxial/fiber and related infrastructure.
• Route, terminate, and test telecommunications cabling.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and service interruptions.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify issues.
• Verify service performance and ensure proper operation.
• Provide professional customer service and explain findings.
