Job summary

The Village Network in Wooster, OH is seeking a Behavioral Management Specialist for residential days. You will provide direct care and clinical support to youth and families, with a focus on trauma-informed practices and safety.

This role requires collaboration with teachers and clinical staff, plus driving to client homes as needed. The position emphasizes crisis support, group counseling, and behavior modification within a structured campus setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years of behavioral health experience or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field desired.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company.
• Travel to homes of clients/students is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assists in transportation when not assigned to other program needs.
• Provides behavior management in assigned areas, keeps clients on task, and documents behavior modification system.
• Assists teacher/staff with daily operation of assigned area, attendance, and communication with parents and referring agencies.
• Provides crisis and/or individual counseling, groups for youth under supervision.
• Provides psych educational groups for youth, selects curriculum with teachers/therapists.
• Assists in behavioral management of the residential campus when not assigned to other program needs.
• Performs other duties as required.
