Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Residential Aide to support the wellbeing and safety of residents across 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am, and 12am–8am shifts. The role includes enforcing conduct, building rapport, and assisting with meals while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, the ability to de-escalate conflicts, and be willing to work flexible hours. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred for this important community program.

Qualifications

• Must prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and staff.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and uphold safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Enforce program policies and procedures for clients and staff.
• Build rapport with clients and de-escalate tense situations when needed.
• Ensure safety and security of residents and the facility; conduct routine walk-throughs.
• Provide meals and assist with storage of deliveries; perform light custodial tasks.
• Communicate resident behavior and care needs to clinical staff; enforce house rules.
• Show willingness to work overtime and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
