Adams And Associates Inc. is seeking a Residential Advisor - Day Shift in Exeter, RI to supervise a student dormitory for ages 16–24, ensuring a safe, clean, and structured living environment.

The role emphasizes mentorship, security, and smooth operation of daily dorm life within the Job Corps program. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience with Job Corps or related programs is advantageous.
• Ability to supervise and mentor students ages 16–24 in a dorm setting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dorm security during class hours and address concerns with dorm staff.
• Inspect dorm rooms daily and process needed repairs via work orders.
• Maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Coordinate packing, mailing, and tracking of students’ belongings.
• Transport students to and from public transportation sites.
• Provide guidance aligned with Career Success Standards and model positive behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Certified Medical Assistant training.EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPSEmployment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check.Pay Rate: $22.21 per hourHere is the schedule for this role:Monday - Friday, 7am-4pmEnsures the physical security of the dorm area during class hours and reports concerns to dorm managementConducts inspections of each dorm room and initiates work orders to make necessary repairs dailyDocuments and tracks inspection performance; reports concerns and trends to Social Development Management staffMaintains adequate levels of inventory per established department reorder points and proactively orders supplies to meet department requirementsCoordinate the packing, mailing and tracking of all separated students’ belongingsTransports students to and from public transportation sitesMentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by Job CorpsProvides high-quality supervision and management for the student populationTakes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behaviorOther duties as assignedHigh School diploma or equivalent required, advanced degrees preferredJob Corps or related program experience strongly preferredValid, active driver’s license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements requiredPhysical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
