DuPont Performance Building Solutions offers an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in the residential construction market across the New England region, including Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, following company guidelines.

This role focuses on increasing sales and market share of DuPont Performance Building Solutions products by engaging with channel partners and contractors, developing local dealer and distributor relationships, and defining distribution strategies for the residential construction market.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage residential distribution channels, including lumber dealers, builders, installers, contractors, and industry influencers.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams such as Building Knowledge, Pricing, Contracts, and National Account Managers to execute strategies effectively.
  3. Ensure product availability in the market to convert specifications into sales.
  4. Develop and implement tactical account plans supporting national business objectives for strategic distributors.
  5. Partner with local Building Envelope Specialists to drive sales and support full portfolio offerings.
  6. Oversee distribution activities, including tracking conversions via CRM, dealer and contractor training, problem resolution, and troubleshooting.
  7. Provide input on territory pricing strategies.
  8. Negotiate and manage distributor relationships, including new product launches.
  9. Support the design and builder community with technical expertise, architectural details, and code consulting.
  10. Track project opportunities to secure specifications and provide feedback on market needs and technologies.
  11. Represent DuPont at industry associations such as NAHB.
  12. Develop and manage rebate programs for targeted customers.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Architecture, Construction, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and building science is desirable.
  • Strong business strategy and market understanding.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, with a safety-conscious mindset.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the region and 5-10% outside the local market.

The candidate should reside in the New England area and be capable of owning and executing the channel management strategy.
