DuPont Performance Building Solutions has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Account Manager in the residential construction market for the New England Market, including Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, located in the New England area.

This position primarily focuses on increasing sales and market share of DuPont Performance Building Solutions products by driving specifications at the channel and contractor level, analyzing, developing, maintaining, and managing local dealers and distributors. Emphasis will be on defining a local distribution strategy for the residential construction markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage residential distribution, lumber dealers, builders, installers, contractors, and key industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with Building Knowledge Team, Pricing, Contracts, and National Account Managers to execute strategies effectively.
  • Ensure product presence in the market to convert specifications into sales.
  • Develop and implement tactical account plans supporting national business objectives for strategic distributor locations.
  • Partner with local Building Envelope Specialists to drive full portfolio sales and support.
  • Manage activities related to distribution, including tracking conversions via CRM, training, problem resolution, and providing input on territory strategies.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage distributors for new product introductions.
  • Support design and builder communities with technical expertise, code consulting, and pre-construction activities.
  • Track project opportunities to secure specifications and provide feedback on technical needs and market trends.
  • Represent the industry within the residential community and hold leadership roles in associations like NAHB.
  • Develop and track rebate programs for targeted customers.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred in Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
  • Five years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and building science.
  • Strong business strategy and market understanding.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, results-driven, with excellent communication skills.
  • High safety awareness and engagement.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% within the region and 5-10% outside.

The successful candidate should be located in the New England area and will own the channel management strategy for this region.
