Residential Account Manager - New England (Remote)

DuPont Performance Building Solutions offers an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in the residential construction market for the New England region, including Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The level will align with the candidate's experience and company guidelines.

This role focuses on increasing sales and market share of DuPont products by driving specifications at the channel and contractor levels, managing local dealers and distributors, and defining distribution strategies for residential markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage residential distribution channels, including lumber dealers, builders, installers, contractors, and industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Building Knowledge, Pricing, Contracts, and National Account Managers.
  • Ensure product presence in the market to convert specifications into sales.
  • Develop and execute tactical account plans supporting national objectives for distributor locations.
  • Partner with local Building Envelope Specialists to drive sales and support.
  • Manage distribution activities, track conversions using CRM, conduct dealer & contractor training, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide input on territory pricing and negotiate/manage distributor relationships for new products.
  • Support the design and builder community with technical expertise, including architectural details and code consulting.
  • Track project opportunities and secure specifications.
  • Gather feedback on technical needs, new technologies, and strategic opportunities.
  • Represent DuPont in the industry, potentially holding leadership roles in associations like NAHB.
  • Develop and manage rebate programs for targeted customers.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required; BS preferred, ideally in Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and construction industry knowledge.
  • Understanding of Building Science and advanced SalesForce skills.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High safety awareness.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% within the region and 5-10% outside.

The candidate should be located in the New England area to own and drive the channel management strategy effectively.
