Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Residential Access Specialist to support Student Life Disability Services in improving campus accessibility and engagement in residence life. You will review disability documentation, counsel students, and collaborate with Housing, Dining, and Health services to implement accommodations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, strong communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, social work, or related field; 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with academic accommodations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review disability documentation and student narratives to determine eligibility for accommodations.
• Counsel and advise on accommodation requests and maintain confidential records.
• Collaborate with campus units and participate in outreach, training, and policy work.
• Assist with exam proctoring during high-volume periods.
