Job summary

Disability Access Services at Oregon State University seeks an Access Advisor for a full-time, 9-month professional faculty position. The Access Advisor will meet with prospective students, assist eligible students throughout their OSU journey, and collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure reasonable accommodations are implemented.

The role uses a coaching model to aid persistence, retention, and achievement, and is integral to the Documentation Review Team and Housing Documentation Review

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in disability studies or related field with two years of professional experience
• Understanding of Section 504 and ADA in higher education
• Experience reading diagnostic assessments and documenting cognitive/psychiatric/medical disorders
• Excellent computer, communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with the AIM accommodation management system
• Commitment to quality improvement and inclusive work environment

Responsibilities

• Director Student Support, 80%: remote advisor supporting all DAS students (Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, Ecampus)
• DAS Program Support 20%: train and support access to DAS resources across on- and off-campus partners
