Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer - Heavy Civil to oversee tunneling construction and operation for one of the country’s most critical infrastructure projects in NY/NJ. You will supervise TBM activities, precast lining installation, and coordinate with project teams, ensuring adherence to safety and design specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).
• Tunneling experience with pressurized face TBMs, segmental lining, and cross passage construction.
• Excellent project management skills coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of safety standards and regulations in tunneling operations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Develop, supervise, and coordinate technical aspects and field engineering for tunneling projects.
• Represent Construction Management during daily meetings with Contractors.
• Support Senior CM staff with technical input.
• Oversee TBM design, fabrication, and operation oversight during tunneling.
• Oversee detail design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of tunnel lining segments.
• Coordinate to ensure timely tunneling progress per specs.
• Monitor ground conditions and excavation parameters.
• Review geotechnical and structural monitoring data.
• Implement safety protocols and quality control measures.
• Prepare progress reports and TBM operation documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during tunneling operations.
• Coordinate with Outreach Team and Third Party Stakeholders.
