Job summary

Rose Tara Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community activities and other outings at Rose Tara Senior Living. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a compassionate approach to elder care.

You will coordinate scheduling with staff, maintain vehicle readiness, follow safety protocols, and provide courteous, patient-centered service to residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
• Previous transportation/healthcare/customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (wheelchairs/walkers).

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation to medical appointments, social outings, and activities.
• Assist residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring safety.
• Maintain and report condition of company vehicles; keep them clean and fueled.
• Coordinate transportation scheduling and route planning with staff and residents.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
• Maintain transportation logs and report incidents to appropriate staff.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner during transport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
• Resident Assistance: Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Report any issues or concerns to management.
• Schedule Coordination: Work closely with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols to ensure a secure and positive travel experience for residents.
• Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate transportation logs and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience during transportation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Previous experience in a transportation, healthcare, or customer service role (preferred)
