Woodridge Assisted Living Facility seeks a dedicated Resident Transporter to ensure residents are transported safely to medical appointments, community activities, and other outings. The role emphasizes compassion, safety, and reliable service within our facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (wheelchairs, walkers).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, social outings, and activities.
• Assist residents boarding and exiting vehicles safely.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, fueled, and well‑maintained state; report issues to management.
• Coordinate transportation scheduling with staff and residents.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
• Maintain transportation logs and report incidents to staff.
• Engage with residents in a friendly, professional manner during transportation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
• Resident Assistance: Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Report any issues or concerns to management.
• Schedule Coordination: Work closely with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols to ensure a secure and positive travel experience for residents.
• Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate transportation logs and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience during transportation.

Qualifications:
