• Experience in a driving position.
• Ability to operate a van lift and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping using community vehicles.
• Reads transportation schedule daily and ensures scheduled appointments can be met.
• Partners with Program Director and managers to schedule appointments for residents as needed.
• Communicates promptly if unable to meet scheduled resident appointments.
• Available for unscheduled transportation needs in an emergency.
• Monitors resident activity and alerts staff when assistance is necessary for safety.
• Completes routine vehicle inspections and reports maintenance or safety issues.
• Ensures vehicles are clean and tidy.
• Follows emergency procedures and safety practices.
• Completes monthly in-services.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
