Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living is seeking a part-time transportation driver to provide timely, safe transport for residents using the community van and other vehicles. You will assist residents, operate vehicle lifts, and ensure compliance with safety policies and DOT/state regulations. Flexibility for weekend shifts is required to support resident needs.

The role emphasizes customer service, confidentiality, and collaboration with the Community Management Team to maintain smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive Community van or other vehicles and meet federal, state, and provincial driving regulations
• Valid license and good driving record with passenger endorsement, if applicable
• Must be 21+ years of age to drive Non-CDL Class C vehicle
• Ability to operate vehicle safely and transport residents on time
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Vehicle Safety Policy
• Drive residents to designated destinations within 100 air mile radius and state lines
• Assist residents with walkers and groceries and secure walkers during transport
• Operate mechanical lift on vehicle when applicable
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff about transportation needs
• Schedule destinations and stay reachable for schedule changes
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and DOT/state logs
• Cross-train for other duties as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of business information
