Job summary

Lake Ridge Care Center, a Cassia community, is hiring a Resident Transportation Driver in Buffalo, MN to join our team. You will safely operate a passenger bus to transport residents to scheduled events, appointments, outings, and activities.

The role is On-Call, with a wage range of $19–$20.78 per hour depending on experience. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record and comfort working with seniors, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Good driving record: no moving violations for the last two years.
• Must pass the MnDOT physical examination and a criminal background check.
• Capable of operating bus lift and strapping wheelchairs into the bus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience working with people with memory loss and physical disabilities is desired.
• Friendly, outgoing and positive personality.

Responsibilities

• Drive the bus for scheduled resident and employee outings.
• Complete proper documentation for MnDOT including daily logs and quarterly reports.
• Track and schedule maintenance for the bus.
• Complete daily upkeep for the bus including filling up gas, washer fluid, cleaning the bus, etc.
• Complete additional tasks as requested.

As a Resident Transportation Driver, you will safely operate a passenger bus to transport residents to scheduled events, appointments, outings, and activities. The bus is equipped to accommodate up to 12 residents with 2 wheelchairs, or up to 8 residents with 4 wheelchairs, depending on the transportation needs of the group. The ideal candidate is safe, with a positive attitude and experience supporting seniors, ready to manage scheduled trips and maintain the bus to standards.

Position Type:On-Call, working minimum 3-4 shifts a month
Wage Range:$19 - $20.78 /hour depending on experience
