Job summary

Lake Ridge Assisted Living, a Cassia community, is hiring Caregivers to join our team in Buffalo, MN. This is a great opportunity for entry-level work or learning and growing in a healthcare setting, with training provided to set you up for success.

Position is Part-Time with Evening shifts from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, offering competitive wages and a supportive team dedicated to high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience preferred, but training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain independence while assisting with personal care and activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration; report changes to the RN.
• Document services performed on the charting system.
• Observe resident and report changes in physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
• Assist with personal care including grooming, bathing, nails; assist with medication administration.
• Prepare and administer medications per policies.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Position Type: Part-Time

Available Shifts

Evening: 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Wage Range: $18.90 - $23.04 / hour depending on experience.

Location: 310 Lake Blvd S, Buffalo, MN 55313

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities. We do not use lifts.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Lake Ridge Assisted Living policies.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Caregiver Qualifications

• Caregiving experience preferred, but not required. We will train you for this position!
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Computer skills, ability to read, write and communicate clearly, self-motivated.
• Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.
• A genuine desire to work with our elderly population.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
