Job summary

Brethren Care Village is seeking a Resident Transportation CNA on a PRN/Per Diem basis. Hours typically vary between 8am-3pm, with pay from $15/hr to $16.80/hr based on experience.

The role involves assisting residents, transporting to appointments, and supporting activities and meals in a Christian-based senior living community in Ohio. We offer a mission-driven culture with benefits, growth opportunities, and the chance to build meaningful connections with residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• STNA Certification required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulates residents in accordance with individual plans of care.
• Schedules medical appointments.
• Toilet residents when out on appointments if necessary.
• Clean vehicles inside and out as needed.
• Perform monthly safety checks on all vehicles.
• Record all pertinent information in the resident's record (EMRs, Restorative Care, etc.).
• Protect and maintain all work areas per safety policies.
• Perform daily tasks per infection control policies.
• Prepare, assist, and transport residents to meals, activities and therapy.
• Assist, supervise and feed residents at mealtime.
• Bathe residents per plans of care.
• Assist residents with dressing and undressing.
• Combs hair and apply appliances as needed.
• Perform passive/active ROM exercises and restorative programs.
• Provide refreshments and nourishments as required.
• Take and record weight, vitals, and fluid intake/output.

What You’ll Do as a Resident Transportation CNA:

• Ambulates residents in accordance with individual plans of care.

• Record all pertinent information in the resident's record. Examples being EMRs, Restorative Care, Food Intake records, behavior notes, and other written documents.
• Protect and maintain all work areas in accordance with facility safety policies.
• Perform daily tasks in accordance with infection control and standard precaution policies and procedures.
• Ambulate residents in accordance with individual plans of care.
• Prepare, assist, and transport residents to and from meals, activities and therapy sessions.
• Assist, supervise and feed residents at mealtime.
• Bathe residents in accordance with plans of care.
• Assist residents with dressing and undressing.
• Combs hair, shaves and applies appropriate appliances for residents.
• Perform and assist with passive, active ROM exercises, and Restorative Programs
• Passes fresh ice and water, extra fluids and AM or HS nourishments.
• Takes and records weight, temperatures, fluid intake and output, vital signs, and other pertinent data.
• Checks that bed pans, urinals, and collection hats are stored according to facility policies.

Requirements for a Resident Transportation CNA:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• STNA Certification required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license required.
