Job summary

Brethren Care Village in Ashland, OH is seeking a Part-Time LPN for Evening shifts (6pm–10pm) on Saturdays and Sundays, with PRN options. Pay ranges from $24/hr to $25.80/hr based on experience, plus shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Onsite presence is required.

The LPN will support our mission by providing nursing care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and in line with facility standards, while serving residents and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Ohio required.
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Onsite presence required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing care standards and implement facility policies in the nursing department.
• Attend team care conferences as needed.
• Provide oral instructions to nursing assistants.
• Assess residents and record pertinent information in their records.
• Document administration of medications according to facility policies.
• Function as team leader and supervisor.
• Support communications with residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure resident call lights are answered.

The LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse supports our mission and values by performing nursing practices within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Ohio, and in accordance with job standards and as directed by the Health Services Supervisor.

The LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse's primary responsibilities include:

• Maintains the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the facilities nursing department including skin grids and treatments, preventative skin plans, preventative fall plans, incident reports and admission paperwork.
• Attends team care conferences as needed.
• Provides oral instructions to nursing assistants.
• Assesses residents and records all pertinent information in resident's records.
• Document administration of medications according to facility policies and procedures.
• Functions as team leader and supervisor.
• Supplies and interprets information, supports decisions, and facilitates communications with residents and their families, and nursing assistants and support staff.
• Assures that resident's call lights are answered.
• Other duties as assigned.
