Job summary

Blumenthal-Health- is seeking a Transport/Unit Clerk to transport residents using a passenger van, schedule resident appointments, and coordinate transportation services. The position requires current CPR certification and CNA credential, a valid State Driver’s License with limited MVR entries, and excellent verbal and written English communication.

You must maintain professionalism and confidentiality, work well in a team, and assist with vehicle inspections, trip logs, fueling, safety

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential is required.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no more than three MVR entries; DUI/DWI convictions disqualify.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in establishing policies and procedures to ensure courteous, safe, and efficient transport of patients.
• Relieve Transporters, ensure driver coverage and notify director of issues or concerns.
• Assist with new driver orientation, safety training, and customer service training.
• Coordinate patient transport activities with facilities to ensure timely, safe and efficient transportation services.
• Maintain accurate daily trip logs and provide necessary data for reporting.
• Inspect vehicles before/after routes and ensure safe, clean equipment; fuel as needed.
• Meet physical requirements and identify process improvements that enhance the patient experience.
• Confirm doctors’ appointments for residents.
• Ensure transport vehicle contains required documents prior to trip start.
