Qualifications

• Previous experience in transportation coordination or a similar role, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards for healthcare facilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with multitasking ability.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation services for residents to medical appointments, therapies, and off-site activities.
• Develop and maintain transportation schedules considering resident needs and vehicle availability.
• Communicate transportation arrangements to residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal transportation regulations for health facilities.
• Maintain trip logs, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Inspect transportation vehicles for safety and address issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and address transportation-related concerns.
• Serve as a point of contact for transportation inquiries and requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and resident privacy at all times.
• Manage transportation resources including vehicles and fuel; monitor budgets for cost savings.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to assess needs and recommend improvements.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
