Job summary

Catholic Charities of New York is seeking a Residential Counselor to implement the Community Residence or Permanent Housing Program. You will help residents learn life skills and document services to support growth toward independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience relevant to helping individuals with serious mental illness or similar population is preferred.
• Strong customer service, documentation, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to learn CPR/First Aid and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to all assigned residents.
• Implement individual service plans to help residents attain rehabilitation goals.
• Offer instruction and service delivery across 11 service categories via role modeling, guidance, and training.
• Document all services and interactions in residents' case records and maintain records.
