Job summary

Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of New York is seeking a Residential Counselor to implement the Community Residence or Permanent Housing Program by helping residents learn community life skills appropriate to their needs as recorded in their comprehensive service plan so that they may grow toward more independent lives.

You will provide case management, document services, and guidance to residents, while coordinating with other services to ensure safety and progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Experience relevant to helping individuals with serious mental illness or similar population.
• Strong customer service and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to all assigned residents.
• Implement individual service plans to assist residents in attaining rehabilitation goals.
• Offer instruction and service delivery in various service categories to help residents acquire daily living skills.
• Document all services and interactions in residents' case records and maintain records.
