Independent Living Association (ILA) seeks an Assistant Residential Supervisor in New York to assist the Residence Supervisor with day-to-day operations of the residence and supervision of staff providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities.

The role includes supervising direct care staff, coordinating training, handling staffing coverage, ensuring safety and sanitation, and participating in performance evaluations and disciplinary processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; an Associate's degree in Health or Human Services is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience with the developmentally disabled population is preferred.
• Minimum two years of related experience in a social service setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Care Counselors, Cook and Maintenance staff; ensure training is provided.
• Manage residence in the absence of the Residence Supervisor and report to the Area Coordinator.
• Oversee employee relations and resolve staff issues; handle conflict resolution.
