Job summary

Independent Living Association, Inc. in New York seeks a Residence Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence and ensure high-quality care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The role focuses on oversight of clinical follow-ups, IDT coordination, and staff performance within a supportive, person-centered program. You will lead the team, ensure adherence to treatment plans, manage documentation, and foster strong ties with the local community

Responsibilities

• Assesses and follows up on individuals’ programmatic and clinical assessments (semiannually and annually).
• Conducts the IDT meeting and writes the minutes for the monthly Interdisciplinary Team Meeting (IDT).
• Staffing and staff supervision: ensures proper staffing and directs the assistant supervisor, plus performance evaluations of union staff.
• Oversees training, guidance and motivation of staff in implementing individuals’ treatment plans.
• Ensures IDT recommendations are carried out and maintains good community relations with the surrounding area.
• Supervises ordering, stocking and maintenance of house and household supplies; participates in the grievance process with union employees.
• Attends conferences and training sessions as directed by Area Coordinator/Residence Director and maintains written records and reports.
