Job summary

National Church Residences is hiring a Part-time Service Coordinator for Redeemer Community in Dayton, Ohio. The role focuses on coordinating resident services, advocating for residents, and building partnerships with community agencies to expand access to low-cost services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and has 2+ years of experience delivering social services to elderly or family populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Liaise with community agencies and service providers; identify low-cost providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and refer to community services as needed.
• Develop a Resource Directory listing local service providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, agency support, life skills and referrals.
• Provide quality customer service to residents and assist with basic needs.
• Assist residents in accessing community services (housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, day care counseling).
• Monitor and relay resident feedback and concerns from families.
• Manage relationships internally and externally with effective communication.
