Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport seeks a dedicated Customer Service professional to be the first contact for participants seeking housing services.

You will coordinate the Resident Services program, counsel participants, organize trainings, and evaluate client progress while preparing reports for leadership. This role emphasizes helping families achieve self-sufficiency through community resources and structured support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of responsible community or social service experience that includes case management.
• Possession or ability to obtain a Family Self-Sufficiency Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Resident Services program caseload and provide counseling and evaluations.
• Organize training, orientations, assessments, and prepare reports for the Executive Director.
• Act as liaison between program participants and community resources.
• Maintain case files and prepare proposals for services as needed.
• Assist participants to increase knowledge of credit, budgeting, and finances.
