Job summary

The Doe Fund is seeking a Tenant Services Coordinator for its Creston Residence in the Kingsbridge area of the Bronx. This full-time role provides supportive case management and counseling to residents transitioning from shelter, within a permanent housing development.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with strong clinical and administrative skills, familiarity with benefits in NYC, and a commitment to empowering residents toward

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness.
  • Excellent clinical and case management skills; knowledge of benefits in NYC Metro area.
  • Lived experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic email/internet skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload and provide supportive services and referrals.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Assist residents in accessing and maintaining benefits.
  • Coordinate with Property Management on maintenance issues.
  • Monitor rent payments and budgeting.
  • Develop resident-centered support plans to promote independence.
  • Facilitate support groups and recreational activities.
  • Liaise with hospitals, substance abuse programs, and mental health services.
  • Attend ongoing training to enhance services.
  • Complete reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
