Job summary

The Doe Fund in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Intake Case Manager to support clients entering the Ready, Willing & Able program. You will conduct initial interviews, guide newcomers through program structures, and help set expectations.

Responsibilities include meeting with new clients, orienting them to surroundings, completing intake paperwork, entering data into CARES and The Doe Fund databases, and assisting with house management duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with criminal justice or homeless populations preferred.
• Strong client contact skills and respect for clients.
• Proficient computer skills; able to learn two databases and use email effectively.
• Independent worker capable of adapting to changing situations without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet with every new Client to introduce program structure, guidelines, and expectations.
• Orient Client to new surroundings and provide initial bedding and toiletries.
• Complete detailed interview and paper intake with the Client.
• Enter all intake information into CARES and TDF Database.
• Construct an initial Independent Living Plan (ILP) with every new Client.
• Assist with House Management duties when possible, including digital bed management and other tasks.
