Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a PRN Concierge to provide a welcoming first impression for residents, visitors and associates, handling calls, directing guests, and supporting safety procedures in a busy senior living environment. The role involves shift coverage from 3-11pm and 11pm-7am, responding to emergencies, coordinating with staff, and assisting with marketing and HR tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience that includes meeting the public, answering phones, and providing customer service.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.
• Proficiency with basic word processing and Outlook; knowledge of Word and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answers and directs telephone calls to residents and departments in a friendly and timely manner.
• Monitors fire alarm system and notifies RSA or maintenance and local dispatcher.
• Monitors emergency response system and coordinates with RSA and EMS as appropriate.
• Monitors CCTV to verify identity and controls entry of individuals.
• Greets guests and directs visitors to the appropriate department or person.
• Supports safety and security by monitoring visitors and restricting building access.
• Assists marketing/HR by sharing inquiries and providing materials.
• Handles Daily Point of Sale operations and maintains drawer counts.
• Takes guest room reservations, events and trip sign-ups.
• Coordinates maintenance work orders and game equipment usage.
• Coordinates pool and fitness access and key control for residents and associates.
• Notifies family members about resident hospitalizations or emergencies.
