Job summary

POAH Communities seeks a Community Impact Coordinator to serve as a liaison between residents and the Community Impact department at Chestnut Gardens and Olympia Square in Lynn, MA. The historic Chestnut Gardens comprises 65 units and Olympia Square is a 44-unit 100% Section 8 property.

Reporting to the Property Manager, you will assess resident needs, develop supportive programming, coordinate services with local providers and ensure HUD compliance, while engaging residents through newsletters

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in resident/social service programs.
• Ability to motivate diverse resident populations.
• Basic proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated time management skills and organizational abilities.
• Resident Coordinator certification is a plus.
• College degree ideally with focus in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of residents via an annual survey.
• Develop and implement supportive service programming with residents, site staff, management and local providers.
• Coordinate delivery of services with local human service providers.
• Identify programs for youth and families (health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery, community building).
• Maintain confidential service information following HUD guidance.
• Establish targets, track progress and report outcomes to stakeholders.
• Communicate with residents via newsletter, flyer, bulletin board, etc.
• Stay updated on HUD rules, EIV, ADA, mandated reporting and lease/housing rules.
• Attend meetings and participate in special projects as required.
