Job summary

Abode Communities in Los Angeles County is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to oversee community development activities under Beyond Homes initiatives. You will provide light case management, engage residents, and promote wellness and aging-in-place strategies across multiple housing sites.

The role emphasizes youth programming oversight at family sites, collaboration with local service providers, and tracking referrals. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and two years related experience in social work, human services case management, and/or related field.
• Ability to initiate and maintain effective, cooperative-working relationships with community-based organizations, public and private organizations.
• Ability to organize and oversee meetings, activities and events and have an ability to effectively network in the community.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred bilingual literacy in English and Spanish.
• Exceptional public speaking abilities and facilitation skills.
• Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and the Internet.
• Ability to travel within Abode Communities’ service area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee community development activities under Beyond Homes initiatives.
• Provide light case management services to residents as needed.
• Engage residents and promote wellness and reduce isolation to increase stability.
• Oversee youth programs at family sites and support SEL-based activities.
• Track programs and referrals through attendance, referral notes, and case notes.
• Collaborate with service providers to ensure best practices in permanent supportive housing.
